RISKam – Environmental Hazard and Risk Assessment and Management 

RISKam – Research Group belonging to the Centre of Geographical Studies (CEG), Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa).

RISKam includes 20 researchers whose theoretical and applied research is devoted to the susceptibility, hazard and risk assessment, and risk perception evaluation, related with hazardous geomorphologic, hydrologic and climatologic phenomena. The scientific activity of the group is supported by GIS tools and spatial modelling methods. The applied research is mostly devoted to natural hazards and risk assessment, in the framework of land use planning, environmental management and emergency planning.
